3. Key-locking tools
Key-driver / punch: Hammers the insert’s locking keys into the parent material. Some wrenches have an integral punch at the handle end .
Impact mechanism: Newer tools convert rotary motion into reciprocating strikes, automatically seating the keys evenly without manual hammering .

4. Forigo (rework) tools
Extracting tool: If an insert is mis-installed or must be replaced, this tool backs it out. When keys are already driven, they must first be drilled off or broken away before extraction .

The standard tool kit for key-locking inserts comprises: borilo, tap, thread gauge, installation wrench (manual or power), key-driver/punch, and extraction tool—selected according to insert size, production volume, and precision requirements.
